Angel A . Walker was born on October 5, 1978 to the late Walter Clarence "Huskey" Walker and Nina Walker . She was the second of three children . Angel grew up in Lexington, Kentucky . She graduated from Bryan Station High School .
She dedicated 21 years with the federal government working at the Veterans Affairs. She was best described as dedicated, reliable and hard working . Her laughter and appreciation of life affected all that knew her. She was inspiring, a true light to those who knew her and she will be greatly missed .
She was a very outgoing, straightforward and loving person who was big on family . She was a loving daughter, a devoted sister, an attentive aunt, and a caring cousin . But most of all, she was an amazing parent . She was extremely loving, supportive and very proud of her daughter, Annanique Johnson, whom she adored . Angel lived life on her own terms . She enjoyed watching her "Wildcats" play, her favorite TV shows, going to the movies and most of all, spending time with her beloved family . She loved traveling and watching a good movie. Angel was loyal, selfless and never met a stranger.
She was known for her kind heart and infectious laugh, which always made her the life of the party . She was always there for everyone she came in contact with and was able to give great advice with a positive attitude .
Angel passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the age of 45 . She will be sorely missed, but she will never be forgotten . Angel was preceded in death by her father, Walter Clarence "Huskey" Walker . Also preceding her in death were grandparents Anna Mae Jones, Roy Jones, Dorthy Walker and Clarence Walker . Her aunt and uncles Deborah Mumphery, Ronald Mumphery, Gregory Jones, and beloved uncle-in-law Jerome "Jack" Jackson . Angel leaves to celebrate her life and cherish fond memories: her loving daughter, Annanique Mae Johnson; her mother, Nina Walker; her sisters, Felicia Walker and Nicole (John) Walker-Schouten; her niece, Qunina Walker; her nephew, Quinntavius (Barbara) Walker FL; her great-nieces, Janiyah and Jazarie Walker; her great nephews, Jeziyah and Jah'zir Walker; her cousin/sister, Tekita Gordon; her aunts, Darlene (John) Harris, Connie Rice, Zenobia Jones, Jacqueline Jackson, and Rose (Willie) Collins; her uncle, Kevin (Debra) Jones; her aunt-in-law, Portia Mumphery, WV; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a treasure trove of friends .
She will forever be in our hearts and will always be remembered for the joy and laughter that she brought to everyone she met .
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 in our Garden of Christus at 2:30pm
