Anna E. "Libby" Holman, daughter of the late James Holman and Ethel Rawlings Young (Stepfather, William L. Young) went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2025. Libby was born July 2, 1936.
She was a graduate of the former Western High School in Paris, KY and was a member of the American Legion Post 165. She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Bridget (Carl) Clark and Blaine H. (Scotty) Walker and a son, La'Brawn (Christal) Holman; sisters, Mattie Woods, Gloria J. Allen and Elenora McKee, all of Paris, KY; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bryant "Bonz" Holman, an aunt, Martha Rawlings; two sisters, Mary Brooks and Ruby McKee and four brothers, John Holman, Billy Holman, James Clay Holman and Jerry Holman, a cousin, Johnny Brooks, niece, Lavern McKee, and two nephews, William C. McKee and Thomas Woods.
Funeral services will be a private family ceremony held at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY with a private burial in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. In accordance with our mother's wishes. She and Bonz will rest peacefully together again. The family wishes to thank each and everyone in the loss of our loved one, especially Bourbon Heights Nursing Home staff and Bridget Clark.
Libby's life was a testament to unwavering love and kindness – a gentle strength she offered freely to everyone she encountered. Her warmth radiated through her devotion to her family; the joy she found in simple pleasures and the laughter she shared among friends and neighbors.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved her and learned from her amazing strength. As we gather to celebrate her memory, may we be comforted by the assurance that her spirit endures in every act of kindness, every family gathering and every prayer lifted on her behalf.
