Betty Lou Roy, age 82, of Nicholasville, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. She was born on December 28, 1942, in Dublin, GA, to the late Charles and Alene Hall Rininger. Betty Lou worked for many years as a factory worker at Square D.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Donna Bailey of Nicholasville and Olivia Kissick of Lexington; her sister, Dorothy Campbell of Lexington; five grandchildren: Larry Allen Bailey, Olivia Bailey, Nolan Ryan Bailey, Shannon Kissick, and Joshua Kissick; 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Betty Lou also leaves behind special cousins from Knoxville, TN.

Betty Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Armond William Roy Jr.; three brothers, Charles, Kirby, and Robert Rininger; and two son-in-laws, Larry Bailey and Billy Kissick.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Betty Lou will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will include Larry Allen Bailey, Nolan Bailey, Josh Kissick, Hunter Bailey, Evan Bailey, and Aidan Williams.
