Bobbie Malinda Garland, formerly of Cynthiana, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital & Respiratory Care Center in Mt. Vernon.

Born November 19, 1957 in Bourbon County to the late Robert Garland, Jr. & Ruth Florence Garland, she was a 1975 graduate of Harrison Co. High School, a former employee of the Bullard Co. and a member of Benson United Methodist Church.

Bobbie loved knitting and embroidery and also enjoyed puzzles and adult coloring books.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Coakley, of Minnesota, and Tonya Fryman, of North Dakota; a brother, Robert Garland, III, of Cynthiana; a sister, Ruby Lee (Larry) Causey, of Dry Ridge; and four grandchildren: Gina, Thomas & Samantha Coakley and Stormy McKinney, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death was a son, J.R. Reed, and a sister, Sandra Stroub.

Services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, July 1, 2019 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Brother Luther Allen. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Memorial contributions are suggested to Rockcastle Regional Hospital & Respiratory Care Center Activities Fund, 145 Newcomb Avenue, Mt. Vernon, Kentucky 40456.
