GREEN, Bonnie Lou, 71, wife of Buford Green Sr., passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in Lexington, KY.

She was born June 10, 1952, in Flemingsburg, KY to the late John Ryce and Jane Coleman.

After twenty years of service, she retired from the Fayette County School System.

Other than her husband, Bonnie is survived by her father, Arthur Coleman; children, Tracy Green (Luke) Russell, Buford (LaCrystal) Green Jr., and Brian Green; grandchildren, Dareontae (Kanesha) Green, Deion Green, Keiarra Jackson Andre Green, Meonna Green Russell and Avery Green; one great-grandchild, Taejah Green; siblings, Nettie (Robert) Hallman, Danny Ray Coleman, Clifton Bolden, Alton Bolden, Alicia (Michael) Wallingford and Juanita Hutsell; an Aunt, Bonnie Brown; sisters-in-law, Charlene Carr, Cynthia Carr, Renee Carr, Leah Israel; brother-in-law, Sam (Emmie) Carr; and a host of family and friends.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sancta Ryce and Sheila Moore.

A 12:00pm service will take place Thursday, July 13, at Gesthemane Church of the Nazarene, 1725 Bryan Station Rd, Lexington, KY 40505. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11-12pm Thursday, at the church.
