Obituary

Brandon Joey Moment, better known by his nickname "Caesar," a Lexington native was born August 9, 1987 to Joyce Mosley and William Moment and transitioned Monday, September 6, 2021. Brandon was full of life, and it showed in everything he did, whether he was smiling and singing at Bru Burger Bar, where he was employed, or sharing his passion for books and games with others. Brandon accepted Christ as a young man and was a member of Phillips Memorial C.M.E. Church. He expressed his love for God with everyone, playing Gospel music for his family and sharing what he learned from the Bible, even though he stated that he would not preach to them. This love and energy flowed to all his friends and everybody who came into contact with him. Brandon's smile welcomed you when you first met him. He developed a passion for sports as a child and made lifelong friends. He graduated from Bryan Station High School in 2005 and was a member of the basketball team. Brandon was proceeded in the transition of life by his grandfather Charles G. Lewis Sr. and grandmother Laura Moment. Those who will cherish his memory and miss his presence are his three daughters: Emery T. Lewis (Teri Lewis, mother), Braelyn J. Moment (Jamie Hawkins, mother), and Serenity "Reni" L. Moment, (Taylor Sweeney, mother); his parents: Joyce and Aaron G. Mosley, Sr. and William B. Moment; siblings: William T. Moment Sr., Bryan C. Mosley, Aaron (Tiffany) Mosley Jr., Marcus Hill, Angel (Robert) Gardner, and Erykah Henry; grandmother: Evelyn Lewis; aunts: Donna (Tur'e) Pearson, Narriman (Calvin) McDowell, Ann Moment, and Angel Moment; uncles: Charles Lewis Jr., Bert Lewis, Rodney (Amy) Lewis, Roderick (Sharon) Lewis, Victor Lewis, Albert Moment, and Roy Moment; nieces, nephews:, close friend Demarius Pettus, close cousin Thea Clay, and a treasure trove of grand aunts, grand uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside services for Brandon Moment will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in our Garden of Devotion.

Hawkins-Taylor Funeral Home, Lexington, is in charge of arrangements.
