Carmen Marie King, 46, of Lexington, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Born March 4, 1978 in Lexington to her late father, Carmen Elvin King and her mother, Paula Preston Ledford of Lexington. Carmen knew no stranger and was a friend to all. Her heart was truly full of love and she spread joy everywhere she went. She is survived by her daughter, Kennedy Kanatzer; two granddaughters, Shayley Simpson and Aubrey Kanatzer; siblings, Ange Tomlinson and Danny King; niece and nephews, Makayla King, Jacob King, and Ryan Sumner; her mother, Paula Preston Ledford and step father, Robert Ledford; along with many additional close family and friends. A visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road. A private graveside burial will be held for immediate family in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
