IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cecil Ross
Hill
January 13, 1925 – March 29, 2025
Cecil Ross Hill, husband of the late Opal Lee Collins, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2025, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Cecil was born to the late Robert Hill and Nancy Ann Hyatt Hill on January 13, 1925, in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Cecil was a man of faith. He was a minister at Bethel Fellowship Church in Georgetown, where he had a strong work ethic. Before he retired, he was employed at Georgetown Sheet Metal and was a WWII Veteran. Cecil could be described as someone who was always in a good mood, he could light up any room he walked into. Cecil was someone who was generous and never knew a stranger. Cecil loved his family and adored spending time with them. One of Cecil's favorite things to do was to work out at the Pavilion and to enjoy breakfast at Cracker Barrel afterward. Cecil was always informed and very patriotic; he took great pride in this country and in serving it. You could always catch the American Flag flying at his house. Cecil was also a very avid UK Fan. Cecil recorded every single UK Basketball game; he could always say that he never watched UK lose a game!
Cecil will be lovingly remembered by one son, Larry Ross of Georgetown, one daughter, Shirley Ann Hill (Larry Wayne) Jones, two sisters, Margaret Cobbs of Cynthiana and Judy Ritchie, three grandchildren, Holly Ann (Jose) Miranda, Jennifer (Juney) Fields, and Larry (Mary Beth) Jones II, and nine great grandchildren, John Parker (Rubi) Sowers, Kayla Weatherly, Jessica (Hayden) Sweetland, Courtney Brook Jones, Larry Jones III, Emily Mayes, Austin Mayes, Kimiah Mayes, and Morgan (Chris) Sullivan, two great-great grandchildren, Regina Sowers and Lilliana Mayes. Cecil was also survived by his spiritual son, Will Hilton.
