Charles Lee Cord, 91, widower of the late Agnes Himes Cord, died Monday April 25, 2022 at the Fountain Circle Nursing Home, Winchester, KY. He was born in Millersburg, KY to the late Wilson Lee and Emma Campbell Cord. He was a retired lineman, having worked for Davis and Elliott, Chilli's Construction and the City of Paris. Charles loved to fish, he was a hard worker all his life and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by four children, Nancy Buckler, Terry Lee Cord, Kathy Combs and Rex Allen (Tena) Cord; five grandchildren, David (Crystal) Cord, Gail Asbury, April Abney, Christy (Dave) Ratliff, Wayne (Ashley) Myers and Heath (Brittany) Cord; two sisters, Pauline and Evelyn; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by, one son, Chuck Cord; four sisters, Annie, Burley, Rose and Dorothy and three brothers, George, Omer and Ottis. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday April 29, 2022 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Bro. Jimmy Jolly. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Cord, Heath Cord, Wayne Myers, Dave Ratliff, Clifton Hunt and Roger Willoughby. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
