Charles W. Martin, 78, husband of Patricia Lou Martin for 54 years, died Thursday January 30, 2020 at his home.

A native of Bourbon County, KY, he was the son of the late William Pellam and Golden Catherine Coffey Martin. He was a retired employee of IBM/Lexmark, a United States Army Veteran, an avid fisherman, hunter and UK Basketball fan. He was a member of the Hilltop Wesleyan Church and First Baptist Church, both in Paris, KY.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two children, Lisa (Dwayne) Lawrence and Billy Martin; four grandchildren, Jeff (Audri) Lawrence, Todd (Breanne) Lawrence, Patrick (Justice) Lawrence and Kaitlen Martin; three great grandchildren, Carson Lawrence, Colton Lawrence and Oakley Horne; one sister, Bettie Jones, sister-in-law, Ann Edwards; brother-in-law, Steve (Linda) Buckler and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Whalen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday February 3, 2020 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by David Dotson. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday February 2, 2020 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Lawrence, Carson Lawrence, Anthony Todd Lawrence, Patrick Lawrence, Justice Welch, Stevie Dee Buckler, B.J. Buckler and Shane Buckler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Lawrence, Kaitlen Martin, Steve Buckler, Larkin Jones, Larry Gray, David Dotson, Ashley Hudnall and Gail Jones. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1317 US-62, Cynthiana, KY 41031 The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY 40361.
