Charles Franklin McCann, Jr., age 92 of Paris, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. Charles was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on August 27, 1933, to the late Charles Franklin and Vivian Lawrence McCann, Sr., served our country in the United States Air Force, was a retired Quality Controller for IBM, and a member of Old Union Christian Church.

After his retirement from IBM, he worked for Eads Hardware, was a member of Paris Lodge #2 F&AM for 69 years, was a member and past president of the Paris Lions Club, served as Public Safety Commissioner for seven years, and was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Logan McCann; his second wife, Delcie Biddle McCann; a sister, Louise Barker; brothers, John McCann, Elwood McCann, and Eddie T. McCann. Surviving are his two sons, Charles K. McCann and Steven F. McCann; grandchildren, Jacqueline Marie Sonneman, Laura McCann; and great grandchildren, Remy Sonneman and Zayden McCann. The funeral service for Charles Franklin McCann, Jr. will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Winkler officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
