Claracy Ellen Bell, 79, of Lexington, passed away on March 14, 2018 after a short unexpected illness.

Born in Harlan County to the late Alex and Katherine Elliott. She was a retired Fayette County Deputy Jailer and homemaker.

Preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Russell Clyde Bell. Also preceded by three sisters, two brothers, and two grandchildren.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her four children, Clyde Bell, Vicki Belcher (Wayne), Connie Strong (Tim) and Ricky Bell (Wendy). Survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, her brother, David Elliott, and sisters, Muriel Kilgore and Sherry Knox, and a special friend, Margaret Thompson.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Monday, March 19.
