Clarence Everett Jones, Sr., 90, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care in Lexington, KY. Clarence Jones was born in Harrison County, KY to the late John Everett Jones and the late Mary Lee Jones (Stone).

He was retired from Visumatic Industrial Products in Lexington, KY and in his younger years traveled the country as a Racehorse Stable Foreman/Junior Trainer. He was a fervent Horse Racing Fan, an avid fisherman, dedicated viewer of The Young and The Restless Daytime Soap and aficionado of Westerns. He was a member of Shadynook Baptist Church in Shadynook, KY and in recent years, attended Veaches Chapel CME Church located in Brentsville.

He is survived by three children, Rebecca Groves-Cooper (Kris) from Columbus, OH, Lizzette Cummins from Paris, KY and Clarence Jones, Jr (Lucy) from Lexington, KY.; four siblings, Herbert Jones and Nellie Jean Brown of Paris, KY, Lena Katherine Mills from Cincinnati, OH and Ruth Collins (John D) from Evansville, IN.; an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and special personal friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Phil Stanley Jones, one grandson, Paul Cummins, three siblings, Roberta Stout, Paul Jones, Silas Jones and his Significant Other of over 40 years, Lettie Jackson.

Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Evergreen Memory Gardens, 5364 Lexington Road next to Bedford Acres Church.

Pallbearers will be Robert Miller, Jeff Jones, Dexter Jones, Donnie Jones, Tyrone Jones and Phillip Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Brown, Durand Brown, Myrin Roberts, Aidan Roberts and Harold Cunningham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Clarence Jones to UK Markey Cancer Center, 800 Rose Street, Lexington, KY 40536.

Graveside services for Clarence Jones will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10am in our Garden of Devotion
