It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cody Wayne J. Nichols, of Lexington, Kentucky, who left us at the age of 31 on February 28th, 2025. Cody was a beloved father to his daughter, Melissa Renee Nichols, and is now reunited with his parents, Melissa R. Land and Paul Wayne Nichols, who preceded him in death.

Cody was known for his kind heart and deep love for animals. He cherished the friendships he made along his journey and always made sure those around him knew they were cared for. He lived simply, finding joy in the beauty of the world around him, often exploring nature and the outdoors. His spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside memorial to celebrate Cody's life will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Paris, Kentucky, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. We invite all those who wish to honor Cody's memory to join us in this moment of remembrance.
