Cornelia "Peggy" Thomas, 90, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Peggy was born Wednesday, November 22, 1933 in Stanford, Kentucky, to Andrew J. and Jenny (Richardson) Manuel. She attended Lancaster Grade School and grew up on the family farm where she cultivated her strong work ethic. Peggy married the love of her life, David Ray Thomas, Sr., in Richmond, Kentucky on October 21, 1959. They cherished sixty-four wonderful years together, working and raising their family. Peggy wore many hats and always kept busy. She worked as a homemaker, farmer, seamstress, home health nurse, and minister's wife throughout her years. Peggy enjoyed tending to her flower garden, working around her home, and especially spending time with her family. Peggy was a dedicated Christian and loved to avidly read her Bible. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, David Ray Thomas, Sr. of the home, son, David Ray Thomas II of Frankfort, KY, grandchildren, Kasey Thomas and his wife, Brittany Thomas, Gabriel Thomas and his wife, Chloe Thomas, and David West, great-grandchildren, Gunner Thomas, Trigg Thomas, and Kimberly Thomas, niece, Connie Sue Fitzgerald, and nephew, Ronnie Manuel of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Jenny Manuel, daughter, Dettina Carol Thomas, brothers, David Manuel, Everett Manuel, Ollie Manuel, Raymond Manuel, Jack Manuel, and John A. Manuel, and sister, Laura Smith.
