Cristie Lynn Johnson Dishman, a beacon of unwavering love and faith, peacefully entered eternal rest on May 10, 2025, at her daughter's home in Paris, Kentucky – the same town that was graced with her birth on April 8, 1964. She closed her eyes to this world, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and selflessness that has deeply touched all who knew her.

Cristie's life journey was shared with her loving husband of 37 years, Charles Dishman. In their abundant years together, they crafted a family rich in love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter, Heather (Michael) Alcorn, and a guiding light to her two stepsons, Les (Sonny) Dishman and Eddie Dishman. Cristie's joy was multiplied with the giggles and hugs of her eight adored grandchildren, Sarah, Abigail, Mariah, Selena, Bella, Michaela, Elijah, and Karen. The family circle included her brother, Barry (Tabitha) Johnson, and a tapestry of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She rejoined in peace her late parents, Billy "Willy" Eugene and Rebecca Turner Johnson, who predeceased her.

Before retiring, Cristie dutifully imparted wisdom as a dedicated middle school teacher at Bourbon County Middle School, earning the respect and love of numerous students and colleagues. Her commitment extended beyond the classroom through her active membership in The River of Life Ministries and her youthful involvement in the ROTC during high school.

Cristie's essence was characterized by her unwavering kindness, her profound faith, and her selfless nature. She relished moments spent with her family and found solace in the soft purring of her cat, Trixie. Travel adventures with her husband and participation in women's ministries at church were sources of immense joy and fulfillment in her life.

In a world that often hurried, Cristie walked gently, planting seeds of compassion that will blossom in the hearts of those she touched for generations to come.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday May 16, 2025, by Pastor Krista Hampton at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday May 15, 2025, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Dishman, Michael Alcorn, Chris Denney, J.D. Johnson, Robert Warner and Jarred Johnson.
