BLYTHE, Dale Autry, 88, husband of Betty McCoy Blythe, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He was born March 5, 1937, in Lexington, to the late Charles and Thelma Blythe. Dale worked as a landscaper at Hillenmeyer Nurseries for forty-nine and a half years. He loved fishing and watching westerns. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Kenneth Ray Blythe, Donna (Edward) Blythe Kerns, Michael Dale Blythe, and Angela Blythe; Eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Norma Gail Montgomery, Teressa Maye Blythe, and Loretta Blythe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, Dale is preceded in death by a son, John Leslie Blythe; a daughter-in-law, Karen Layne Blythe; three sisters; and two brothers. A 12pm service will take place Tuesday, December 23, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-12pm, at the funeral home.
