David Ray  Garland Sr., 81, died March 15, 2019.

Born in Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruby Dykes Garland. He was a farm manager for many years and served in the National Guard.

Survivors include; two daughters, Shari Phillips of Winchester, KY and Judy (Buddy) Helton of Jeffersonville, KY; son, Matthew Bretz of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Anita and Bessie; and a brother, Benny. He was preceded in death by two sons, David Ray Garland Jr. and Daniel B. Garland; and a host of brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. on Tues., March 19, 2019 at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St.
