Diana Lee Jones was born March 24, 1943 in Moorefield, Kentucky to the late Almetta Taul and step-father, Herbert Taul. She departed this life Monday, March 21, 2022 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Diane was a graduate of Western High School in Paris, Kentucky. She retired from Clark Equipment, The University of Kentucky and Fayette County Public Schools. She was a member of the First African Baptist Church where she turned her life over to God on August 25, 1991. She loved her church family where as she served faithfully until her health began to decline. She was preceded in death by her mother, Almetta Taul; grandparents, Charles and Marie Thompson; a sister, Dorothy Taul Hutsell; and one of her best friends, the late Diane Reed, that she cherished. She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Steve Jones; two daughters, Angela Jones and Jamie Mason Shanks; nine grandchildren: Kimberly Marie Jones, Stacy Lee Jones, Sierra Jones, Azahare Mason, Blake Jones, Shianne Jones, Aalaija Mason, Katelee Jones and Aaliyah Jones; four great-grandchildren, Jakhari Jones, Qua-Marion Jones, Drayden Jones and Mila Jones; a bonus son, Thomas Reed; two bonus daughters, Deltoria Sharp and Bridget Hampton; a brother-in-law, David Hutsell; and a niece, LaCrystal Hutsell Green; her other best friend, Ms. Bertha Berry; a special friend, Patricia Jones; along with a host of other family members, her church family and many friends.
