Donald Eugene Butcher Jr., aged 65, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025. Born on November 3, 1959, to Donald Eugene Butcher Sr. and Darlene Faith Fogle, Donald was a man whose life was defined by his passion for his family, his love for the outdoors, and his remarkable handiness.

A true family man, Donald was the cherished patriarch of a loving family. He was a devoted son to his mother, Darlene, and honored the memory of his late father, Donald Sr., through the values of hard work and integrity he lived by every day. His legacy is carried on by his daughters, Kristin Butcher (Joseph Bender), Jennifer Clark (Jeremy), Anica Santiago, Patricia Dawn Butcher, and Lilyonna Taylor, as well as his beloved son, Landon Taylor. Donald was a proud grandfather to Weston Eugene Butcher, Zach Harrison, Brooklynn Harrison, Adan Santiago, Michael Hajek, Justin Hajek, Tully Ann Renae Butcher, Angela Kay Luna Butcher, Lucia Dawn Luna Butcher, Roxanne Luz Luna Butcher, and Jaxton Eugene Butcher, all of whom brought immense joy into his life. His faithful dog, Sally Sue, was a constant and loyal companion throughout his years. He will also be missed by his loving siblings Jeffery Wayne Butcher, Virginia Brown, Bonnie Taylor, and Michael Butcher.

Donald's zest for life was evident in everything he did. His hands were rarely still, as he found great joy in building racecars, a craft that showcased his extraordinary mechanical skills. His love for riding side by sides was an extension of his adventurous spirit and his deep connection to the country life he adored. Donald was happiest when he was outside, whether it was camping in the wilderness, sharing his love of the outdoors with his family, or practicing his aim while shooting his guns.

His interest in the outdoors was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of a man who found peace and contentment in the simplicity and beauty of nature. Donald was a hardworking individual, not just in his professional endeavors, but in every aspect of life.

A visitation will be held from 10-12pm Monday, January 13, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main Street, with a service to begin at 12pm. Burial will be at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
