Donnie R Bowers, 70, son of Donald Bowers and Dorthy Hager, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

He was born in Lexington on September 21, 1950. Donnie enjoyed horse races and gambling so if he wasn't at home you could find him at Red mile or Keeneland.

Everyone that knew him could tell you how intelligent, humorous, friendly and outgoing he was.

He is survived by a son Donnie (Cathy) Bowers jr.; daughters, Janine Bowers, Sheila Barron, Angela (Michael) Denny, Kellie (Bennie) Strunk and Marquita Bowers; 17 grandkids; 25 great grandkids.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 24 at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Paris Pike. Visitation will be from 12 – 1pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St.

Pallbearers will be Devon Bowers, Dustin Bowers, Grant Hanley, Brent Hisle, Eric Denny and Edwin Romero.
