Doris Gail Hughes Fomas, 67, widow of Terry Dale Fomas, died Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington Ky.

Born in Richmond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Hughes and Lula Roberts Hughes Rose. She was a retired R.N. at Bourbon County Hospital and a clerk at St. Joseph Hospital. Doris loved to enjoy the outdoors hunting and fishing with her husband Terry.

She is survived by two brothers, William Hughes (Kathe) of Fairfield, Oh and Paul Hughes (Suzanne) of Irvine, KY as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. A brother-in-law, Jamie (Della) Fomas and a sister-in-law Donna (Larry) Harris.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Hughes Jr. and Larry Hughes as well as a sister, Thelma Hurst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Sara Webster and Marjorie Lehman. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 13th at the funeral home.
