Edna Gee Vires, 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 07, 2023, at Bridgeway Pointe Assisted Living.

Edna was born on October 01, 1933, to the late Howse Harris and Margaret Harris in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Vires was a dedicated employee of the Public School System, where she served as a Cafeteria Worker, making breakfast and lunch for many hungry students over the years. Edna thoroughly enjoyed quilting, she carefully sewed together many pieces of fabrics and cloth to warm those that she loved. To those that knew her, knew that she loved her babies dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Mr. Donald Vires who she loved deeply.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Bobby Vires (Kelly) of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Donna Hurley (Bill) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Gail Counts (Danny) of Lexington, Kentucky; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside committal service will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Paris, Kentucky, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at twelve o'clock in the afternoon with family eulogizing their fond memories of Edna. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, is in care of arrangements for Mrs. Edna Gee Vires.
