Elizabeth Henderson Pierce, 83, was born on February 19, 1939 and departed this life on Sunday November 20, 2022. She was born and raised in Paris, KY and moved to Lexington once she retired from Mallinckrodt. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board, the decorating committee, missionary committee and taught Sunday school. Elizabeth also enjoyed bowling and had been in several leagues over the years. She also enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time and talking with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, seven brothers, five sisters, husband, Ronald J. Pierce and her son, Anthony D. Henderson.

She is survived by her children, William Henderson, Sandra (Terry) Chenault and Deric Pierce; grandchildren, Phillip Baker, Shuron (Maurice) Watson, Shaun Hawkins, Shalonda Hawkins, Jarvis Chenault, Tara Chenault, Anthony D. Henderson, Jr. and Jaylen Pierce; eights great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday November 26, 2022 at the Zion Baptist Church, 312 West 8th St., Paris, KY by Rev. Aaron Crumbie and Rev. James Thurman. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Saturday November 26, 2022 until the hour of service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Gary Chenault, Elgin Downey, Kenneth Mack, Jr., George Henderson, Jr., Delmon Johnson, James Robinson and Darryl Parker.
