Ernest Lee Evans, 84, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his residence. Born November 27, 1937 to the late Thomas Lee and Vilda Evans. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Evans; his son, Doug Evans; a brother, Jimmie T. Evans and a sister, Carol Sue Vaught. Survivors are a son, Ernest "Buzz" Lee Evans II (Missy), of Lexington; a daughter, Donna Evans Corum (Philip) of Versailles; grandchildren are Erika Lynn Rogers (John Marcus), Zachariah E. Corum (Lauren), Cody Lee Corum (Ashley), Emily Lauren Larabee (Charlie) Eric Wayne Spalding (Cassie); a special great- grandson, Wyatt Douglas Evans; two sisters, Patricia Whitaker and Linda Cash and other family and friends that he loved very much. Visitation will be held from 10-12 Saturday, January 22nd at Kerr Brothers Main Street. Services will be held at 12 noon. Burial will be at the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
