Obituary

Eva Williams Gaines, 67 died Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

A native of Paris, KY, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Williams and Celia Kohler Russell. She was an Executive Assistant at International Spike in Lexington and the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System in North Carolina until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Paris, KY. She is survived by two children, LaShawn Gaines and Juan (Shawn) Gaines, Jr.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Felicita) Williams and Leonard (Lynn) Russell; seven sisters, Phyllis Nutter, Lenora Ransom, Marilyn Williams, Marsha Williams, Cheryl Dunn, Darlene (Keith) Taylor and Tamara (Noah) Johnson; a special aunt, Mary Richardson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Celia and Josheph Russell and Irvin Williams, she was preceded in death by one brother, Max Williams. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the 7th Street Christian Church, Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Thursday until the hour of service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Leon Johnson, Nicholas Taylor, Lucian Taylor, Michael Weaver, Eddie Myers III and Juan Dumphord. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Johnson, Keith Taylor and Juan Gaines, Sr.
