Fannie Mae Lutes, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Born on June 20, 1938, in Winchester, Kentucky, to Levi Clem and Viola Abner Clem, Fannie's life was a testament to her enduring kindness and strength. Fannie's journey began as the cherished daughter of Levi and Viola and grew as she became a sister to many.

While she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Lutes, her parents, her siblings Della Taulbee, Eugene Clem, and a special sibling Beulah Banks, as well as her children Darlene Campbell, Lisa Wells, Vickie Jolly, Larry Lutes, Connie Monroe, and Rita Lutes, her legacy continues through her surviving siblings, Marty Spurlock and Molly Hampton, and her children Joe Banks and Terry (David) Chain. Fannie's love also lives on in her 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and close family members who were blessed to know her.

Fannie's educational pursuits led her from high school to technical school, where she honed the skills that would serve her well in her compassionate career as a nurse. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life as she embraced the roles of mother and grandmother with unparalleled devotion. Fannie's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the owner of a beloved bait shop in Paris, Kentucky, where she was known for her welcoming smile and sage advice.

A devout Christian, Fannie's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's trials and triumphs. Her involvement with the Moose Lodge in Florida reflected her commitment to community and fellowship, where she was a proud member, sharing her wise sayings and openness with all. Fannie Mae Lutes will be remembered as the embodiment of love and kindness. Her wisdom, a guiding light to all who knew her, will continue to inspire generations. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of caring, generosity, and unwavering support, woven with the threads of her faith and the love she had for her family and friends.

As we bid farewell to Fannie, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she has left on the hearts of many.
