Floyd Wayne Whalen, "Big Wayne", 85, widower of Pauline Cheatham Whalen, died Tuesday August 27, 2024. Born on January 18, 1939, in Paris, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Orville and Edith Baber Whalen. Wayne was a former Carbide Product company employee and a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Floyd Wayne (Monica) Whalen, II and Todd Lewis Whalen; six grandchildren, Carter Wayne, Riley Katherine, Macey Claire, and Reagan Whalen, Taylor Underwood, and granddaughter and special caregiver, Bailey Elizabeth Whalen; and two great-grandchildren, River and Jaxson Whalen; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted on Friday August 30, 2024 at 3:00pm at Kerr Brothers-Main Street by Brother Steve Wainwright. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 12-3pm Friday.
