Georgietta McGuffey Weaver, 75, wife of Johnny L.Weaver for 51 years, died Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her residence in Paris, KY. A native of Carlisle, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marion M. McGuffey, Jr. and Lena Boyd McGuffey. She was a retired teacher of the Fayette County School System, having taught over 40 years. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, a member of the Wesley Chapel CME and was given a key to the City of Millersburg. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jonetta Weaver of Louisville, KY and Jennifer (Junis) Weaver-Baldon of Germantown, Maryland; two grandchildren, Johnae Michelle Burton and Ananda Janelle Baldon; one brother, Marion M. (Mary) McGuffey III of Silver Springs, Maryland; one sister, Greta M. McGuffey Mulder of Versailles, KY and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jonathan McGuffey. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Arthur Williams. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday, May 17th at the funeral home.
