On Saturday June 29th, 2024 Gregory Lamont Brown departed this life at his home. Gregory was born December 10th 1957 in Fayette County, KY to Russell "Chester" Brown and Earlyice Beatty Brown. He is preceded in death by his father and mother. His memory will be cherished by his sisters Stacy Elizabeth Brown, Russandra "Rusty" Brown, Sharron Brown, Cassandra (Jeremy) Phillips, and brothers Rodewick Washington and Russell Chester "CJ" Brown,Jr. He also leaves to cherish fond memories his children Dametrius (Marhonda) Drake, LeAngela Drake,Gregory Drake, Ramon Drake, Juanneka Drake, and Darrius Drake along with his bonus children Orreon Diggs, Juanita Diggs, Marcus Owens, Julian Owens, and Jamison Owens. His grandchildren Damerius Drake, Aniyia Drake, Angel Drake, Amari Drake, Marcenio Davis, Damari Drake, Daykiya Drake, Dametrius Drake Jr, Ayden Harris, Ramon Drake, Jr, Brendyn Drake, Ryanne White, Rayven Drake, Bria Drake, and Lovely Drake. Nephews Jermaine Anderson, Christopher Jordan Brown and Titus McBride, Nieces Mikayla Durrick, Taylor Durrick, Eyiana Ighodaro, Jamyla and Jada Phillips. Great-nieces KaiyaIghodaro, Magenta Brown and great-nephew Christopher Brown, Jr .A host of cousins, other relatives, and many special friends. Gregory enjoyed old westerns and watching Jeopardy, sitting on his porch and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Facebook became his favorite pastime where he reconnected with old friends and family and oftentimes enjoyed reposting funny memes and inspirational quotes. He was loved and enjoyed by all, young and old. Gregory was a US Army Veteran stationed at Fort Ord, CA. After serving in the army, Gregory resided in Monterrey, California before returning home to Lexington, KY.
