IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Guy Leonard
Mccowan
September 26, 1936 – October 22, 2024
Guy Leonard McCowan, 88, known affectionately as Guy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born in Elkhorn City on September 26, 1936, Guy grew up to be a beloved figure in his community, cherished for his kindness and warm spirit. A proud graduate of Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Kentucky, Guy dedicated many years as a tour bus driver for Bluegrass Tours, becoming a familiar face to the University of Kentucky Basketball and Football teams whom he drove with great pride. Guy's passion for the open road was matched only by his love for his Corvette, which he enjoyed driving around Kentucky's scenic routes.
Guy's memory will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Amy (Chad) Rankin, Kristie (Jason) Tirey, and Karen Baldini; his brother, Steve (Charlotte) McCowan; and sister, Sue (Don) Roll as well as a special friend, David (Kristy) Weistroffer. His legacy continues through his ten adoring grandchildren. He now joins his parents, Guy and Bessie McCowan, in eternal rest. Guy's life was a journey that touched many, and he will be deeply missed.
