She dedicated a combined 33 years of heartfelt service as a phlebotomist at St. Joseph Hospital and as a CNA at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Her compassion and skill made a significant impact, touching countless lives with her gentle care.
A long-standing member of the First Baptist Church in Paris, KY, where she was on the Usher Board and Janet's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Her involvement with the church community went beyond just attendance; she exemplified the fruits of the Spirit, always present and active in her faith through service, fellowship, and leadership.
Family was the center of Janet's world. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Brown; her children, LaJuana (Jaime Covington) Marks and Eddie (Amy Avila) Marks; her endearing eleven grandchildren, Juan'yea, Xavier, Christian, Charles Thomas, Eddie II, DaShone, Kiara, Mia, Andrew, Layla, and Alexander; four devoted brothers, Jeffery Strawder, Kirk Strawder, James (Dina) Marks, Jonathan (Jessica) Marks; and three caring sisters, Michelle (Bradley) Hutsell, Shanda (Greg) Conners, and Jenice (Michael) Jackson; one aunt, Cynthia Trudell and a special friend, Wilma Wingate. She now rejoins in Heaven her parents, James and Wanda Dorsey Strawder Marks; her brother, Eric Strawder; and her dear grandparents, Carrie Alice Evans and Ada and John Russell Smarr. The family would also like to acknowledge the love from the Taylor-Ashley-Brown Family.
Janet's hobbies were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She had a love for sewing, creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends.
