Jerry Wayne Bailey, age 71, of Georgetown, widower of Janet Faye Henson Bailey, died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Lexington.

He was born February 16, 1951 in Paris, son of the late Neville Lee and Anna Mary Earnest Bailey. Jerry was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and was a member of Silas Baptist Church.

He was a retired mechanic and loved to fish in his spare time.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Christopher Jay (Joritta) Bailey, Jamie D. (Jamie K.) Bailey; two granddaughters, Jaydan Bailey, Morgan Rice; and a sister, Brenda (Robert) Blair.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, January 4, officiated by Rev. Curtis Barkley with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Kevin Shingleton, Floyd Shingleton, Ronnie Henson, Steve Sullivan, Dean Earnest, and Ricky Hudgins.
