John Steven Sledd, 66 left this life to be with our Lord on Tuesday July 5, 2022, while residing with his sister Laura after battling pancreatic cancer for the past several months.

He was born January 11, 1956 in El Paso, Texas to the late George Ronald Sledd and Sarah A Maze Glass then moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1963 and resided in Bourbon County at Bourbon Manor Apartments for the past 10 years.

He previously worked for University of Kentucky in the janitorial department and Bluegrass Airport in Lexington as a parking attendant.

John had never married nor had any children and was survived by a brother, Dr. George R. Sledd and his wife Pam of Sanford, Florida. 3 sisters, Julie Sledd Proctor of Paris, Laura Sledd Howard of Little Rock (Paris) and Kathleen Glass Rivers and husband David of Fort Worth, Texas and step-father Stanley G. Glass of Lexington, Kentucky and a host of nieces and nephews.
