Josea Antonio Franklin, born February 26, 1974, in Lexington, KY, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was the son of Gary Shannon and Margaret Montgomery.

Josea professed his hope in Christ at Soul Deliverance Tabernacle and was baptized on October 21, 1984. Josea loved playing dominoes, listening to live music, and building model cars. He was known for consistently singing “Dear Mama” by Tupac to his mother, always showing his love and appreciation for her.

Josea leaves to cherish his memory: his parents; his sons, Onias Riggs, DeVante’ Cowherd, and Zethan Riggs; his daughter, Mia’Amor Goodridge; his granddaughter, Mardella Roze; and his siblings, Maniwell Franklin, Nekoda Beatty, Ronnie Robinson, and Jo’Quane Cowherd.

He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family members, and friends.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved Him.
