Joseph Duane "Joey" Happy, 50, husband of Jennifer Hope Phillips Happy, died Tuesday June 30, 2020 at his home in Nicholasville, KY.

He was born in Lexington, KY to Frank C. Happy, Sr. and the late Dolores Nichols Happy.

He was a Class III Waste Water Treatment Operator for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, a 1988 Graduate from Bourbon County High School, 1993 graduate of Central State University, where he obtained his industrial engineering degree, was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Ro Lambda Chapter and a member of the First Baptist Church, Winchester, KY.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by four children, Marquita Hampton, Kani Happy, Joseph L. Happy and Elias Webb; three stepchildren, Jacob Ward, Jasmine Ward and Jae Ward; one grandchild, Kyleigh Hampton; one sister, Missy Happy; one brother, Frank Happy, Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday July 8, 2020 at the River of Life Ministries, 616 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY 40361 by Rev. Archie Johnson. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.

Pallbearers will be Travis Hampton, Stephen Miller, Chase Nichols, Larry Harris, Michael Lathan and Phillip Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. The arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY 40361.
