Joseph Keith "Joe" Peel, husband of Sheena Eileen Peel, of Winchester, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, November 07, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side, having attained the age of 60 years.

Joe was born in Versailles, Kentucky on December 03, 1962, the son of the late Bobby Joe Peele Betty Derringer Gregory. He loved working with his horses for 38 years and worked at Claiborne Farm as a stallion manager. Claiborne Farm honored him by naming the breeding shed after him. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family as well as fishing and four wheeling. He was a Kentucky Colonel and attended the River of Life Ministries. Also preceding him in death was his grandmother, Katherine Peel; grandfather, Broadus Peel; sister, Shannette Dietz Lee; stepfather, Charlie Gregory; and stepmother, Wanda Peele. Along with his wife Sheena, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal Ann Peel Robinson; a granddaughter, Alyssa Brooke Ring; and special son-in-law, Randy Robinson. Also surviving are his siblings, Susie (Hobert) Riley, Mary Jane Richmond, Jerry Wayne Peele, Becky Dowell, Michael Gregory, Billy Dietz, and Donna Peele. The funeral service for Joseph Keith "Joe" Peel will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at River of Life Ministries with Pastor Krista Hampton and Keith Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with casket bearers being Kevin Lay, Jerry Peele, Morgan Roland, Matthew Roland, Travis Davis, and Ronnie True. Honorary bearers are Seth Hancock, Walker Hancock, Bradley Purcell, Wesley Purcell, Ronnie Hunt, and Wayne Clem. Visitation will be on Sunday evening, November 12, 2023, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Joe and family suggest donations to the UK Kentucky Children's Hospital, 800 Rose Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40536.
