JJoseph Booker "Joe P." "AH HA" Parker, died Thursday February 17, 2022 at his home in Paris, KY. He was born in Paris, KY to the late Joseph Henry and Argerta Booker Parker. He was a retired employee of the Dura/Weaver Company and a skilled mechanic. Joe was passionate about prison ministry and was a member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church and the Prodigal's House. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Demetric) Goode and Jaddah Cunningham; ex-wife, Katherine Chenault Parker; six grandchildren, Doryae (Alyssa) Cuningham, Tayjin Cunningham, Jayden Cunningham, Daniya Cunningham, Jhade Rice and Triniti Rice; two great grandchildren, Keon Cunningham and Teighlor Cunningham; three brothers, Leonard Underwood, Rodney Parker and Barry Parker; six sisters, Helen Murphy, Rebecca (George, Sr.) Hutchinson, Denise (Kenneth) Johnson, Suzette Legree, Brenda Parker and Fadqa Shakir; aunt, Rosa Anne Willis; uncle, Everett (Nina) Willis, Sr.; stepmother, Barbara Parker; special friend, Jan Courtney and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Cordia Parker and two nephews, Robert "Seven" Smith and Joseph Parker. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday February 23, 2022 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey, Rev. Dr. Keila Thomas, Rev. Danny Murphy, Jr. and Tony Gooch. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Wednesday February 23, 2022 until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Doryae Cunningham, Tayjin Cunningham, James Thomas, Joseph Murphy, George Hutchinson, Jr. and Carl Hutchinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Parker, Aaron Shikir, Robert Thomas, Rasheed Shakir and Juan Tucker. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
