IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joyce
Winn
March 11, 1953 – November 1, 2022
Joyce Elaine Beasley Winn was born March 11, 1953 to the late Rev. William C. and Josephine Beasley. Joyce was preceded in death by two children Lonnie Earl Winn Jr. and Sherri Winn Hand, and also her husband Lonnie Earl Winn of 46 years. Joyce gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served the kitchen. She later joined the Consolidated Baptist Church. Joyce worked as a Cook in the kitchen at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital for 35 years. She loved and served thousands of people during her time. She was loved by the employees and patients and she returned that love on a daily basis. She affectionately gave the name Honeylamb to all she adored. Joyce loved singing and laughing with her sisters. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Each Friday, she would cheer on Jalen and the Frederick Douglass Football Team. Serenity and her Nana loved to watch Lifetime Movies and WWE Wrestling. Her favorite pastime was telling stories and discovering everyone's family tree. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her two precious grandchildren Jalen and Serenity Hand; her son-in-law, James Hand Jr.; her sisters Sara (Garnett) Gray, JoAnn Brown, and Sandra Beasley Lewis; brothers-in-law, Clarence (Willa) Winn, Charles (Cleo) Winn; sister-in-law Commetta (David) Graves and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
