Obituary

Julio Jacarri Vazquez, beloved son of Latifah Greer and Julio Vazquez, was born on November 11, 2005. He peacefully departed this earthly life on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 20.

Julio was preceded in death by his grandmother, Henrietta Greer; his aunt, Kauai Greer; his uncle, George Greer; and his step brother, Ja’Zarion Robinson.

Julio received his education through the Fayette County Public School system and later graduated from Breathitt County Public Schools in 2023. He was a loving and caring young man whose heart of gold shone through in all that he did. Julio lived with loyalty, responsibility, and respect for others, carrying an energy and personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He found true joy in his family and friends and was proud of his ambition to start his own business, embracing the journey of entrepreneurship. Julio carried a rare gift for making others laugh, showing up when it mattered most, and listening without judgment.Above all else, nothing meant more to Julio than caring for the family he created. He loved deeply, gave himself selflessly, and lived with a devotion that will never be forgotten.

Julio leaves to cherish his memory his loving child, Jacarri Brooks Vazquez; his mother, Latifah Greer, Fathers, Julio Vazquez and Matthew Hawes; grandparents, Nani “Lisa” Jones (Paul Jones), Martha Garcia, and Julio Vazques Sr.; his siblings, A’ziya Vazquez, Selena Hollaway and Cassius Vazquez; stepbrothers, Ja’Quise Ross and Jamyen Anderson; aunts, Keniwka Greer, Paula Jones, Alisha Jones, and Aaliyah Vazquez; uncles, Mako Greer, Emilio Greer and Paul Jones; special cousins, Zeanta Jones, Sa’myla Greer, and Amirion Burnett; and special friends who will forever hold a cherished place in his heart, Madilyn McMillin, Conner “Rizzy” House, Elijah Pollard, Jason Murray, Jaluan Coulter, and Caleb “Rico” Henry, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Julio will be remembered for who he was—not for who he was supposed to be.
