Lanny Dale Murphy, 69, of Lexington, Kentucky passed away on November 29,2023.

Lanny was considered a local legend for many years amongst the Lexington Music Scene. He had quite a following due to his incredible talent and raw love for music and people. Lanny was happiest with a guitar in hand and entertaining others.

Left behind to miss him daily and dearly are his loving wife of 50 years, Pamela Murphy, his dear son, Lanny Ray Murphy, brother Paul Murphy (Vickie), sister Peggy Thomas, sister Patty Murphy- Stamper, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gertrude Murphy.

Visitation is scheduled to be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home 463 E. Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507 on Thursday, December 7th from 12 noon until 1:30PM. Funeral service begins promptly at 1:30PM. A burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Seth Devers, Terry Stamper, Robert Flanery, Tommy Nichols, Clayton Thomas, and Paul Murphy.
