(Terrell) Bell
August 24, 1932 – January 22, 2025
Martha "Sue" Terrell Bell, 92, of Paris, Kentucky, was born on August 24, 1932, in East Union, Kentucky, Nicholas County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Terrell and Sarrah Elsie Scott Terrell. Sue graduated from Carlisle High School and attended Fugazzi College. Over the years, she worked at Griffin Manufacture in Carlisle, KY, and later at Lowery and Crouch Real Estate. She was also a dedicated sewing machine operator for Kentucky Textile and SERKI, where she worked for 25 years. Sue was an active and community-focused individual. She was a devoted member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the East Union Homemakers. She also served as a leader for both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Sue spent many years skillfully creating knitted items, including dedicating 10 years to knitting baby booties and hats which she donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Lexington, KY. Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Roy Keith Bell. She is survived by her son, William Mark Bell (Missy); her daughter, Lucy Jo Coburn (Jeff); her grandson, Ryan Alan Coburn (Kayla); and one great-granddaughter, Katy Elizabeth Coburn. In addition to her husband and parents, Sue was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Allen Terrell and Frank Terrell, and four sisters: Della Mae Krause, Ann Elizabeth Wilson, Lucy Nell Stigall, and Katherine B. Pruiett. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Paris, Kentucky, or the Ronald McDonald House. The visitation will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Paris, Kentucky. The funeral will be at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Bell officiating. Hinton Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The burial will be at Evergreen Memory Gardens, 5364 Lexington Road.
