Mary A. Brooks, daughter of the late Ethel Young and James Holman went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Mary was born November 17, 1948. She was a member of the Shorter Chapel AME Church. She belonged to the Missionary Club, Choir, and the Culinary Committee.

She leaves to mourn: her son Travis Lee Brooks; a special friend, Randy Speakes; grandchildren, Jason Lee Brooks, Trenton R. Kenney and Amiya N. Brooks; sisters, Anna (Libby) Holman, Mattie Woods, Gloria J. Allen and Elenora McKee, all of Paris, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews;

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Brooks; two brothers, John Holman and Billy Holman, a sister, Ruby McKee, a niece, Lavern McKee and two nephews, William C. McKee and Thomas Woods.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at First Christian Church, 911 High Street, Paris, KY by Rev. Robert Wilson. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, Oct. 3rd at the church.

Pallbearers will be Gary Brooks, Damon McKee, Zachary McKee, Charles McKee, Bryant Holman and Labrawn Holman.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of American Legion Post 165.
