Obituary

MICHAEL EDWARD COLEMAN SR . 66 was born September 27, 1958, in Lexington, Ky to Bettie Ragland Taylor and the late Ben Coleman Jr. He peacefully departed his life in the early morning of April 22, 2025, after his long battle with Cancer. Proceeding him to glory is his Wife of 43 years, Lisa Ann Coleman; Stepfather & Deacon Milton Taylor, Great Niece Jasmine Renee Clay, Maternal Grandparents Lendell (Lillie) Ragland SR, Paternal Grandparents Ben (Grace) Coleman Sr and Close friend Glenn Taylor. After Graduating from Bryan Station High School in 1977, Michael went on to work at Trane Company where he retired after working 27 years. Michael was known as the biggest Louisville Cardinals Fan from the West Side and was also known city wide for his famous Ol'G Pies. From his famous butterscotch pies to his delicious Jam cakes, he could definitely throw down in the kitchen. He accepted Christ at an early age. Later became a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. He is survived by his two sons Michael (Telecia) Coleman Jr and James (Shonda) Brady Jr. Sister Sandra (Rev, William) Allen III. Grandchildren: Makiyah Coleman, Jaquon Gray, Jaquice Gray, Talaya Thomas, Semaj Brady, Maijor Young, J'lisa Brady, James Brady III, King Brady, Jazel Brady, James Brady IV, Prince Brady, and Oliver Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends Special Acknowledgments: Pilgrim Baptist Church family, Mayor Linda Gorton, Lexington Sheriff Department, Doctors and Nurses of the University of Kentucky
