Norma Jean Saams Kelley, of Lexington, widow of Charles Eugene Kelley, departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, surrounded by her loved ones. Norma was born in Freemont, Ohio on June 1, 1943, the daughter of the late Luther and Geneva Barber Saams, was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved raising her children, enjoyed word search books, and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three children, June Marie Kelley, Patricia Jean Kelley Yocum Fuentes, and Charles Eugene Kelley, II. Surviving are her sons, Porter Eugene (Chastity) Kelley, Randall Scott (Sandi) Kelley, Melvin Lee (Susan) Kelley; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Shirley (Chuck) Baker; brothers, Al Saams (Mary Ann), Bill Saams, and Buck (Norma) Saams. The funeral service for Norma Jean Kelley will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Celebrant, Sharon L. Berry, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with her grandchildren serving as her casket bearers. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time for the service. www.hintotnurner.com
