Paul Wilson Helphenstine, age 93, widower of Christine Hopkins Helphenstine, departed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his home with family by his side.

Paul was born in Brookville, Indiana, on August 5, 1930, the son of the late Lewis and Vina Yazell Helphenstine, was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Corporal during the Korean conflict. He was retired from IBM, attended Bedford Acres Christian Church, and loved traveling.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lewis Jr., Don, and Quentin Helphenstine. Surviving is a son, David (Patty) Helphenstine; a granddaughter, Kristina Joy Helphenstine; as well as several nieces and nephews. The graveside service for Paul Wilson Helphenstine will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. George Clifton to officiate. Entombment will follow with casket bearers being Joseph Whited, Jr., Dylan Berry, Thomas Hopkins, Jr., Larry Hopkins, Brian Velazquez, and Gene Rayburn.
