Paul Ellis Price Sr. was born November 26, 1937 in Lexington, Ky. He was the son of the late James Price and Mary Charles Blackburn Price. He received his education from Old Douglass High School and his college years at Kentucky State University.

He was a great basketball player, many of his friends talk about and recall his glory years. He was employed by the Greyhound Transportation and the city of Lexington until his retirement. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First Baptist Church Bracktown. He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Price , Jr. Roberta Maxberry, Moses B. Price, Ella N. White, Andrew D. Price, Henderson Price, Ann Forbes, Charles Price and Glenn Price. He is survived by two sons, Charles Price, Paul Price, Jr.; a daughter, Tammy (Robert) Washington; three grandchildren, Shondale Price, Charles (Jennifer) Price, and Christal Price; a sister Mary (Henry) Kenion; a brother Daniel Price and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends including a very special friend Donaline Shields.
