Raymond Curtis Hayes was a wonderful father and brother.
He was called home on October 9, 2020, while at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
He was born on April 26, 1958, to the late Mr. William Estill Hayes and the late Mrs. Ruth Hayes.
Raymond was a graduate from Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Ky.
He was a cook for several restaurants and his last place of employment was at Keeneland.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Lena Bell Hayes, Rosetta Hayes, Oma Walker, Mable Hayes Snell, and Junele Hayes; and two brothers, Paul Hayes and James Hayes.
He is survived by one son, Kavon James Hayes; a special friend and mother of his son, Dracey Middleton; five sisters, Ann Marie Russell, Alice Price Stewart, Doris (Ernest) Ragland, Thelma Hayes, and Lavern Hayes; six brothers, Charles (Barbara) Hayes, William (Shirley) Hayes, Freddie Hayes, Albert Hayes, Larry Hayes and Clarence Hayes. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and a special niece, Laura Hayes Escudero, was his caregiver during his illness.
Graveside services for Raymond Curtis Hayes will be held Monday October 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm in our Garden of Serenity, Evergreen Memory Gardens.
