Dale Ellen Florence, widow of Charles O. Florence, Jr., departed this life on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester, having attained the age of 80 years.

She was born in Lexington, on March 15, 1940, the daughter of the late James Mark and Lottie Mae Franklin Schumacher, was a homemaker, and an ordained Methodist minister. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Florence and a great granddaughter, Hailey Renee Doolin. Surviving is a daughter, Charlene Florence; a son, Karl Ray (Wilma) Florence; three grandchildren, Charles David (Surry) Florence, Anthony Glenn (Kirsten) Doolin, and Megan Renee (Elizabeth) Florence. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Gabrielle Marie Florence, Cameron David Florence, Connor Alan Doolin, Jayce Bentley Doolin, Liam Anthony Doolin; and a sister, Patricia Fowler. The funeral service for Dale Ellen Florence will be on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. with interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers are Karl and Wilma Florence, Megan and Elizabeth Florence, Charles and Surry Florence, Anthony and Kirsten Doolin, and Myre Fowler.
