BOOTH, Richard Lee, 89, widower of the late Barbara Booth, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He was born August 21, 1935, in Jefferson City, IA, to the late Robert and Ada Booth. He was one of fifteen children. He worked as a shop foreman at Harry Gordon Steel, where he retired after 30 plus years of service. He was long time member of the Bread of Life Assembly of God Church. Richard is survived by his two sons, Brian (Rita) Booth and Vincent P. Booth; grandchildren, Samantha, Donovan (Jamie) Booth, Katie (Ryan) Stone, and Sarah (Alfred) Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Caitlin; three siblings, Frank, Roger, and Alan; and many nieces & nephews. Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son. A 1:00pm service will take place Thursday, February 20, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. Visitation will be from 11-1pm. A private burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Garden.
